The mission of Torchlight Youth Mentoring Alliance is to foster the development of youth to reach their highest potential as responsible, adaptable, caring adults. We operate four types of research-based programs in Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties. Our Program Outcome Evaluations show that our children gain and maintain developmental assets in critical areas such as self-confidence, social competence and caring about others. In addition, independent studies prove that children in our mentoring programs improve in school, are less likely to engage in risky behaviors such as drugs, alcohol, and violence, and develop higher life aspirations..
